The Mississippi, The New Lowry Bridge, The Minneapolis Skyline

I took this photo from the 42nd Ave Bridge in Minneapolis. This beautiful night time photo features the mighty Mississippi River, the new and beautifully lit Lowry Ave Bridge that spans the river, and the fantastic Minneapolis Skyline. Both the new bridge and the skyline have their lights reflected in the river.

Minneapolis Skyline at Dusk

The sun had just set and had left a very beautiful glow in the sky of orange, purple and blue colors. Those colors made a fantastic background to the fantastic Minneapolis Skyline in this photo I took from along highway 280 to the east of the city.

The Witch's Hat Tower

This photo features the Witch's Hat Tower at Prospect Park in Minneapolis. The tower is sitting on the highest natural land area in Minneapolis. The tower is one of the few original water towers standing today in the Twin Cities area.

Prospect Park is a historic neighborhood within the University community of the U.S. city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The area is bounded by theMississippi River to the south, the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota to the east, the Burlington Northern railroad yard to the north, and the Stadium Village commercial district of the University of Minnesota to the west. The neighborhood is composed of several districts which include the East River Road area.

An urban village once served by streetcar, Prospect Park is now a combination of multiple districts and uses. Families live in single-family homes onTower Hill while University students reside in apartment housing in the western districts. Estate homes of the early to mid 20th century line East River Road. The South East Industrial Area (SEMI) in the north contains light manufacturing, rail yards and remnant grain silos. University Avenue houses a mix of retail and restaurant businesses from the Stadium Village area.

This is the school bell on the oldest existing school house in the state of Minnesota. It is found in Taylors Falls.

The Scorcerer's Hat and the Stars at Night

This is another night-time photo of Mickey's Scorcerer's Hat at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios. I have taken a handful of these photos over the years and this is one of my favorites.

Wide Angle Imagination

Using a wide-angle lens for the first time, I was able to try getting a unique photo of Epcot's Imagination building. I line myself up so I was right at the corner of the beautiful pyramid of the Imagination building, and looked straight up it's angled roof.

Big Thunder Mountain Under Construction

Big Thunder Mountain was closed during my most recent visit as it looks like they are doing some major upkeep on the ride. In this photo here, taken from the walking bridge on Tom Saywers Island, shows a beautiful reflection of the wildest ride in the wilderness and the construction guys working about it.

The sun came out and spread it's light on the freshly fallen snow, sending glittery light towards me as I shot this photo of this snow covered evergreen in Minnesota.

Empty Hockey Net

This lonely and empty hockey net sat on the ice at Bellvue Park in Brooklyn Center, MN on one sun shining winter day.

Cinderellas Castle and a Blood Red Sky

The sunset this night was eerie, which made it a spectacular night to shoot photographs. This photo is of Cinderellas Castle, looking from the east, with the castles reflection in the water and the blood red sky behind it, this is one breathtaking photo that I have loved since the moment I took it.

Hippo Peak-a-boo

I was able to get this photo of a hippopotamus as it was just breaching above the water level. The wonderful creature just poked his eyes and nose out of the water before heading back down below the surface.

The Moon and a Side View of the Scorcerers Hat

On my visit to Walt Disney Worlds Hollywood Studios, we had a full moon while I was out taking nighttime shots around the park. In this photo I managed to incorporate the full moon into the photo with Mickey's Scorcerers Hat.
