Bruno Mars - Young Girls

"Young Girls" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, from his second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012). The song was written by Jeff Bhasker, Emiley Haynie, Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, while production was handled by Bhasker, Haynie and The Smeezingtons. "Young Girls" is a midtempo pop, R&B and rock ballad about how he can't help but succumb to the dubious charms of young girls. It received favorable reviews from music critics, who noted that it is a "sweet and enjoyable" track, while also praising Mars's vocals. It charted in some countries, such as Australia, Canada, France, South Korea and UK.

Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven

Holy cow does this song ever kick ass! I loved it on the first listen, even with the song sounding very much like something The Police would have done back in the '80's. And since that first listen, this song just keeps getting better and better every time I listen to it, even as it creeps up the play charts and gets played all the time on the radio. I have also seen Bruno perform this song on a handful of TV shows, and along with this show, it is very refreshing to see a current artist able to put together a live band, and to have his songs sound just as good live as they do recorded, which is something 98% of today's pop artists simply cannot do. Gotta give it up to Bruno, he is very rapidly rising up my favorite artists list.

Bruno Mars - Locked out of Heaven

The fact this new Bruno Mars song evokes thoughts of early Police songs is a good thing in my book. This song totally kicks ass and Bruno is rapidly building an excellent library of songs. "Locked Out of Heaven" is the first single from his upcoming album Unorthodox Jukebox. In the recently released video, Mars and his band belt out the upbeat track in a dingy club, but the real attraction here are the grainy visuals filmed in fake fuzziness, giving the clip a retro feel. Unorthodox Jukebox is set for release on December 11th.

Bruno Mars - It Will Rain

This song, It Will Rain by Bruno Mars is the song I have listened to the most over the last year as tracked by my account at last.fm. It is a song that I instantly fell in love with the first time I heard it, and the song continues to be an absolute favorite of mine.

"It Will Rain" is a love ballad co-written and produced by Bruno Mars and his songwriting and production team, The Smeezingtons. The soundtrack disc hit stores on November 8th, 2011. Bruno described the new song as "think of the darker side of love". The agony and torment of heartbreak in the lyrics describe the universal emotional pain of relationship bonds like oxytocin relationships, sexual arousal, bonding and romantic attachment and behavioral addiction, being ripped apart that results in depression. The music video for "It Will Rain" premiered on November 10, 2011 on MTV. Bruno Mars falls for a girl in the clip and it shows the pair going through different emotions like love and anger. It also features footage from the film Breaking Dawn: Part 1, the fourth film in the Twilight saga. The video for the song was then uploaded on YouTube by Mars' label Elektra Records. Although some reviews were mixed, for example Rolling Stone, which gave the song three stars out of five, saying it "sounds a little bit like "Wild Horses," and "a lot like Mars' next radio juggernaut", the song was highly popular and successful. Mars and his label Elektra Records celebrated the singer’s fourth #1 single on the Billboard Top 40 chart with this song.
